Stop Treating AI Like a Race. Start Treating It Like a Renaissance.

What would happen if we stopped hoarding knowledge and started building with radical generosity instead?

What if we stopped treating AI like a race and started treating it like a renaissance?

There’s something profound that my wife taught me a long time ago that I can’t stop thinking about in the context of where we are today in AI:

You can't run out of love. There is always enough for everyone and you can always have more of it.

It hits me because it’s the exact opposite of how so many of us have been trained to think, especially in tech.

  • We treat opportunity like it’s scarce
  • We treat knowledge like intellectual property
  • We treat success like a zero-sum game
  • We act like if company A gets seed funding, it means company B does not
  • We believe that if one player is in the limelight for a while, everyone else is not

Additionally:

  • We hoard talent
  • We protect insights
  • We build cultures of secrecy and control, thinking that’s the only way to win
  • We assume that competitive advantage comes from keeping others out, not bringing them in

And it’s not just startups. It's not just people in the AI enthusiast community. It's not just AI filmmakers and other creatives. It’s not just tech. Look at the global stage. Countries are racing to outpace each other in AI.

National pride, economic dominance, military applications, data control. It’s framed like a Cold War with GPUs instead of missiles. Everyone wants to “win” AI, like it’s a single prize that can only belong to one player.

But love doesn’t work that way. And honestly? Neither does real, lasting impact.

If we believe what my wife said, that love is abundant, limitless, and renewable, then what happens when we bring that mindset into our work?

What if we bring that into the AI space?

Into how we collaborate, share ideas, hire, lead, build?

And even more importantly, how we relate to each other as nations and cultures?

Too much of the current AI conversation is about guarding, hoarding, competing. But the irony is this: the most generous players in this space are the ones building the strongest networks, the fastest-moving cultures, the deepest trust.

What if we operated from a place of radical abundance instead?

We are living through a time in history that can only be compared to the Industrial Revolution. It may even be bigger than that. The possibilities are literally limitless right now. Markets are expanding. Entire new categories are emerging. There is enough for everyone.

What if we taught without worrying about being outshined, outpaced, or “beaten at our own game”?

What if we published our best prompts, open-sourced our best tools, shared our workflows, and celebrated each other’s breakthroughs?

What if we stopped treating AI like a race, and started treating it like a renaissance?

I believe the AI space is at a fork in the road. We can either build a walled garden or a thriving ecosystem. One is powered by scarcity. The other is powered by love. And if my wife is right, and I believe she is, then love is never in short supply.

Let’s build a community where generosity is the norm.

Where success is contagious.

Where the question isn’t “What’s in it for me?” but “How far can we go together?”

We can design that future.

One post, one project, one technique, one tutorial, one act of radical generosity at a time.

And the companies, countries, and cultures that build this way?

They won’t just lead the market.

They’ll shape the future.
